Pool Cue News and Review

Not much that needs to be said about this one. My two favorite girls together with a camera… why the hell didn’t someone provide them with pillows? It’s scientific fact that if you put two hotties together in a room, they’ll eventually have a pillow fight. Samm Diep and Shanelle Loraine… you little temptresses!

There seem to be quite a few haters out there that feel like Shanelle Loraine gets treated differently because she’s good looking. Let me just say that she didn’t become the #1 player in Guam just because she’s hot. I’m sure there was some serious competition for that coveted title. For those who simply refuse to believe she can play, I present to you video proof from the XTM Cup. I’m not sure what the hell she’s doing, but that one dude in the leather jacket seems quite impressed.

Look, of course she’s gonna get flack because she’s hot. There are a lot of female pool players that are better than her. She hasn’t done a thing to prove herself as a player except beat Jeanette Lee in an exhibition match. Even so, I’ll tell you why she deserves a sponsorship over someone like Karen Corr. Shanelle is willing to work for it. Karen doesn’t get sponsorships because she isn’t willing to go to a place like the Super Billiards Expo to meet and greet for hours on end. Don’t get me wrong, Karen’s very nice and pretty damn funny, but she just wants to wear a patch and that’s not enough to get sponsors interested.

You want a sponsorship? You expect a company to pay you to promote their brand? If so, then put yourself out there. Do interviews, sign autographs, play challenge matches with fans. Don’t think for a second that playing well “earns” you a sponsorship.

Dammit! Well, I might have to go to the stupid Super Billiards Expo after all. It seems that Predator has signed up ultra-hottie Shanelle Loraine to be their player rep for their line of Poison Cues and she’ll be at the expo. Apparently those guys at Predator are pretty smart after all. I’m guessing that Charlie Williams had something to do with the sponsorship since Shanelle hasn’t really done all that much in the way of winning championships, but who cares!Personally, I think the Poison cues are pretty stupid. Why would I pay Predator prices for a cue that doesn’t have a 314 shaft on it? The “Double D” technology doesn’t sound like much and their Sarin tip is nothing new either, as it was done first by 5280 with their Red Line Tip.

When you hit the expo to ogle Shanelle, make sure you take a whiff of one of those Poison cues with the funky wrap. They smell like an impossible combination of rubber and ass. Oh, and leave a comment if you try one out. I haven’t had a chance to play with one yet, but I doubt its anything special. After all, if they were Predator quality, why wouldn’t the company slap a Slazenger …err… Predator logo on it?

In a word… Damn! All the women previously mentioned are super foxy, but let’s face it… Shanelle is super hot. You likely haven’t seen her on any of the tours, but apparently she is the #1 women’s player in Guam, so that’s good enough for me. She also plays for Charlie Williams’ Dragon Promotions, so my guess is that she spends some time playing in Korea where pool is actually a more popular spectator sport than bass fishing.

Whatever the case, someone please teach this girl to play at the WPBA level because ESPN definitely needs to up the hotness factor the “Classic” tour and God knows that this sport is in desperate need of a Maria Sharapova or a Natalie Gulbis to get the casual viewer to start watching.
